"We often find it easy to complain but commending something seems harder.
Well here goes
I think the quality of the bird seed is great and as for delivery----Order about 4pm on Monday and receive delivery before 9am Wednesday!! what more needs saying, even the birds started clapping. Well sort of pity we have to pay but then what is perfect?"

"As a long term customer of Vine House Farm thru the last 8 or 9 years I would just like to say that the last shipment of VHF Premium High Energy Mix bird food was of exceptional quality- plump sunflower hearts and plenty of them.
It is a pleasure to do business with a company that knows the meaning of quality"

"Many thanks for your reply. This topic is very important to me as I am very concerned about farm animal welfare: for this reason I am a vegan and avoid using animal products wherever possible - if I have no alternative then I only use organically produced products. Unfortunately, in light of your very honest reply, I will not be purchasing fat balls at the present time. However, if, in the future, you find a source for your suet and fat balls that is organic, or better still vegetable based, please let me know, and I will be very happy to purchase them.
In the meantime, I would just like to let you know that I am very satisfied with the products that I purchase from you - they are good quality and very fairly priced. The service is excellent, very fast delivery and any problems I have had have been dealt with promptly and politely. Keep up the good work!"

"I was showing some wardens and volunteers from Paxton gravel pits around my farm. One person said to another, If every farmer thought how Nicholas did, nature reserves would be redundant"

"Thank you for my order delivered yesterday, what excellent service! Although I pass the farm often, this has solved the problem of trying to squeeze the supplies into my tiny car.
May I also congratulate you on your excellent catalogue, one of the best I have seen and also your refreshingly user friendly website"

"Firstly I would like to thank you on your prompt delivery and secondly we haven't had Goldfinches in our garden for 2 years, I put the niger feeder up on Thursday and Goldfinches were on it on Friday"

"I have used your products for a number of years and I am happy to say that my feathered friend have thoroughly enjoyed your products. Sadly last week I ran out of seed and since the snow was on it's way I purchased some bird seed from a local supplier to keep my birds happy until I could order from you - bad move on my part because the birds realised that it was inferior seed and to show their disgust they hardly touched the bird feeders.
I have learnt my lesson, I will keep a closer eye on my bird food and not let it run out again.
Thank you for a great service and excellent products"

"Just a note to say how impressed we are with your service. We found your website via our local Wildlife trust and placed our first order on Tuesday evening and received the delivery on Thursday morning. We particular like the fact that your prices include for delivery so avoiding the additional charge that is so often lurking at the bottom of order forms"

"I bought some of your bird seed at Rutland Bird Fair last year, I have never seen so much sunflower seeds and the variety in the mix. The range of birds that we get are amazing: 11 Red legged Partridge, Blue Tits, Great Tits, House Sparrows, Hedge Sparrows, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Starlings, Collared Doves, Wood Pigeons, Robins, Turtle Dove, Stock Dove, Pheasants and I think that is it!! We do get a Gt Spotted Woodpecker on the peanuts.
I just thought you would like to know the variety"

"My order of 20 x 500g fat balls arrived this afternoon and I am most impressed by the speed of the delivery. Not only are they great value for money but to receive them so soon after ordering is a bonus. Once my garden birds have pecked their way through the 20 balls, I will be ordering again and in the meantime will recommend you to my friends. Many thanks"

"Dear Mr Watts, I want to tell you how my garden has been absolutely transformed to a living garden full of birds since I have started using your bird seed that I have never seen before and with the most wonderful and melodious songs from early morning. The food is of such a fantastic quality ( the ground feed looks better than my muesli) . I just want to thank you for your wonderful produce which has done so much for my birds. Yours Sincerely
A. Jeremy. Cheltenham"

An email from John Tinning
"Thank you very much for two things, your recent newsletter. I would be very happy to receive future editions by email. Your fantastic response to my telephone call about a faulty sack of premium bird food. I was most impressed by the prompt and efficient manner in which my damp and germinating sack was collected and replaced. I do hope you were able to discover how the slip occured. Every buisiness encounters problems from time to time and the true test is how it responds when something goes awry. You passed the test with flying colours. Many thanks John Tinning"
13th August 2004 - A warning for new customers
"Thanks for the recent delivery of seeds-the birds have already got stuck into them. I am delighted with the quality of the seeds, but I do have a warning for future customers. The main reason I bought from Vine House Farm was the exceptional good value compared to high street prices, but the birds can't get enough of the seed and I have to refill my 2 bird feeders daily! So I think I am spending more on bird seed than before, but it is well worth it. We have a large family of greenfinches that consume most of the seed- but lots of tits and sparrows mussel in occasionally. The most exotic bird we have had is a ring necked parakeet."
Stuart Hillmansen, Ealing London
Mrs JM Craib of Hampton Hargate, Peterborough also gives the same warning.
She says she started buying bird food from Vine House Farm as I thought it would be economical but it isn't as the birds are eating so much more of your food.
Mrs Pennington of Market Deeping says that goldfinches only used to visit us occasionally when we bought seed from the supermarket but now we are using your seed we get them all the time. It's really great to see them. The neighbours came to see us and they couldn't believe what they saw. I think they are coming to get some seed from you.
Mrs Jackson of Paston, Peterborough. Since we have been feeding your bird food, we've had so many more birds in our garden, it's wonderfull. I want the same again please. (High Energy mix).
11 November 2003
"Many thanks for your prompt service. Having lived in Baston and Market Deeping for many years before moving here to the wilds of NE Scotland , I know much of your farmland quite well.
The seasons here are about six weeks ahead of S Lincolnshire and the variety of garden birds is different. Since using sunflower seeds instead of the cheap wheat laden so called wild bird seed, the population of greenfinch, chaffinch (gleaning the spilled seed) and coal tits has multiplied out of all proportion, up to 15 of each on some occasions. At the moment I am using almost 2kg a week and your prices and delivery service are a great boon."
John Hewitt

"Just a quick email to thank you for the prompt and efficient dispatch of my order for Sunflower Hearts. It was well packaged with no hassle involved.
Thank you very much for such an excellent standard of service. I will certainly be using you regularly from now on for all my bird food requirements. Goldfinches are also very grateful!!!!"
Colin Harwood
"Our bird seed order arrived safe and sound on Thursday. I just had to write my congratulations on the best ever bird seed we have ever bought. We have purchased from many places but your products certainly are the very best. As we opened the bags the smell was just wonderful. We shall certainly be purchasing from you in the future."

24 May 2002
"I took delivery of a 25k sack of your mixed seeds on Monday. The blue tits, coal tits and woodpeckers are queuing up and squabbling all daylight hours and the pigeons and jays are strutting about below catching the spillage. I am filling the feeders daily.
I don’t know what the precise mix is but it is certainly popular and the birds are a source of much pleasure to all my family."
Alan Perrin

"The birds from our garden had gradually disappeared and we thought it was our cats but now we know that it was the bird food we had been using, because since we have been using your bird food we have ever haad so many birds and so many varieties in our garden."
Mr Anderson from Market Deeping

"I used to buy wild bird seed from pet shops but I get a lot bigger range of birds since I have been buying your Finch Mix. In fact we have about two dozen Goldfinches visiting us know."

"We have just had our first delivery of premium high energy mix from you and as soon as I put it down about 20 small birds, greenfinches, dunnocks, tits and chaffinches descended and had a feast. The bird seed I bought from a local garden centre was mostly wheat which only seemed to attract pigeons and squirrels.
Thanks for doing this for our native birds and I wish you every success in your highly diversified cereal farm."
Dr Vivienne Cox
