- Bird food
At Vine House Farm we supply bird food direct from the farm straight to you. Much of which we grow ourselves on the farm, and what we can't we bring in but still supply direct to you - so no secondary distribution centres as some other well-known brands use. This means both lower prices and fewer carbon miles.
The bird food we grow ourselves on the farm includes black sunflowers for our mixes, red millet and white millet, canary seed, oil seed rape and naked oats. We sow the seed in the spring, allow the crop to grow, harvest it, pack it, then supply the bird food direct to our customers. There is no other supplier of bird food in the UK that does this.
Bird food at low prices
Because our overheads are relatively low through growing as much of our own seed as possible, packing virtually all our products on site, plus supplying our customers direct from the farm, our prices are some of the lowest in the market. And not just for the seed we grow ourselves, but also for bird food such as suet pellets, suet blocks and fat balls.
Our prices are typically lower because:
So buying your bird food direct form Vine House Farm really does make sense.
Another real advantage of the way we operate is that it gives us unrivalled control over quality. As far as the seed we grow ourselves on the farm is concerned, we really do have control over it - from sowing it in the ground to finally packing it and supplying it direct to our customers.
For all other bird food, we apply a strict system of quality control to ensure it meets the same high standards as the feed we produce ourselves.
