Chopped Peanuts

These bite-size peanut pieces are rich in essential oils and proteins. Chopped peanuts are ideal for mixing with other bird seed mixes and bird food to help increase nutritional content, or are fantastic fed on their own. Chopped peanuts are safe to feed to wild birds all year round and are a real treat for a variety of garden birds that cannot manage to peck into whole peanuts, such as the Dunnock and Robin. Chopped peanuts are suitable for seed feeders, bird tables and ground feeding.

Blackbird

Robin

These brightly coloured small birds commonly found in many gardens and are one of Britain's favourite birds. The robin will take the juicy insects and worms as quickly as they appear. They are territorial and very aggressive in nature and have a ferocious appetite. Their brightly coloured red breast is their most attractive feature and for this reason the robin is seen on Christmas cards.

Blue Tit

This delightful and entertaining small bird is a frequent visitor to garden bird feeders and tables, performing skilful acrobatics to obtain a meal of peanuts or fat. They are thought to be intelligent as they will investigate new sources of food such as stealing the top of the milk learn from each other and use great dexterity of beak and foot. They are easily recognised by their blue cap and wings, white cheeks and yellow body.

Song Thrush

The Song Thrush as its name suggests has a beautiful flute-like song in which it repeats phrases (distinguishing it from the song of the blackbird). This song can be heard from as early as January and each individual can have a repertoire of around a hundred phrases.

Starling

The Starling is a gregarious and noisy bird with a talent for mimicry. They walk and run very hurriedly on the ground. They are still one of the commonest garden birds in the UK.
