Description

Join us on our conservation award winning farm to see many species of breeding birds. Learn how we grow our bird seed and how we manage the whole farm with wildlife in mind. Our Summer Farm tours are in June and July, starting at 12pm and take approximately two hours. Our Sunflower fields are also included in the tours in August.

Nicholas will also be hosting a nature walk around our Wildlife Garden & Pond in June. He will show you how and where we planted the garden with wildlife and pollinators in mind, with plenty of suitable habitat. This will take approximately an hour, starting at 2pm.

Our Orchid Tour starts at 4pm, driving in convoy a short distance to Baston.

The *ticket price includes a voucher for same day use in our Café, which is open from 8.30am to 4pm, offering a wide range of homemade dishes using our own, or locally sourced produce. So, plenty of time for refreshments either before, or after, the tour.

*Orchid tickets excluded from offer

A very interesting tour of the farm and nearby land, by car as we were a small group, with lots of stops for discussion of farming and wildlife issues, and their interaction, followed by a good lunch at the farm shop cafe. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hour session on the farm. Nicholas is very knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to hear the way that wild life is both encouraged and looked after on the farm. We have been on some of his walks in the past but there is always further knowledge to be gained. The tour finished off by seeing the wonderful field of sunflowers opposite the farm.

I just wanted to thank you for an inspiring farm tour on Saturday. I will be trying to put some of what i learnt into practice on my farm.

Enjoy learning about the birds that Nicholas has attracted to the farm, through his feeding initiatives and conservation measures.

Our Spring/Summer Farm Tours take place in April, May, June and July and last around two hours. The tour, either by tractor and trailer or own car, stops at various points around the farm.

Our Sunflower Tours are similar in style, taking place in August, with a visit to our beautiful sunflower fields also included in the tour. Please note that the sunflowers are very weather dependent - which includes as far back as May when they're sown - so we cannot guarantee the sunflowers will be fully in bloom on any specific date.

Please note that tickets are not refundable, unless the tour is cancelled by Vine House Farm
