Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust

We are a local charity working for Lincolnshire’s wildlife, wild places and people.

Covering the whole of the historic county of Lincolnshire – from the Humber to the Wash – we protect wildlife and wild places, educate and empower people, and stand up for wildlife where you live. Almost 28,000 members and over 1,000 volunteers work with us to make Lincolnshire wilder and make nature part of life, for everyone.

We are one of 46 similar Wildlife Trusts covering the UK which come together to form The Wildlife Trusts movement. Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust is one of the oldest of the county trusts, having been founded in 1948.

We have a vision for Lincolnshire and the neighbouring sea and estuaries to be rich in wildlife for the benefit of everyone.

OUR WORK WITH THE WILDLIFE TRUST

“We are proud of our partnership with Vine House Farm Bord Foods. Not only have they inspired people to look after the birds in their garden but Vine House Farm, near Spalding, looks after the birds and other wildlife on their farm too. Through their conservation farm management, they’ve shown it’s possible to have a profitable Lincolnshire farm where wildlife can thrive.”

- Paul Learoyd - Chief Executive, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust

The support from Vine House Farm Bird Foods helps us manage our nature reserves and inspire an interest in the natural world.

In particular the funds from Vine House Farm have been invested in the on-going developments at Willow Tree Fen nature reserve. This new nature reserve was created from arable land in 2009. In the heart of the South Lincolnshire fens, it’s close to Vine House Farm. Having the support and guidance from Vine House Farm has been invaluable in the creation of this new fenland nature reserve.
