Let's hope a passing hedgehog likes the look of it. It looks fine to me, and if Vine House farm sell it, I trust it is designed to a hedgehog's specifications.......

The hedgehog house blends well in the garden, and clearly hedgehogs are happy with it because we’ve seen it in use!

We haven't actually used the Hedgehog House yet. Our garden Hedgehog pair are eating the hog food we bought from Vine House Farm but they clearly already have a home in another garden at the moment, so we are waiting until they have had their family who hopefully will be looking for a home in the Autumn.

Well-constructed - robust but light - so should last for years. Good value and exactly as advertised. Fingers crossed now for some prickly residents!

The House is a present for another person so I can only say that I thought it was lovely. The delivery was very quick, and left in my 'safe place', so I am very happy with that too.

Well made and sturdy. Looks like it will withstand harsh weather conditions and lots of use (hopefully). Looking forward to seeing some residents soon, fingers crossed.

With a brushwood finish, the steel frame is covered with a waterproof felt lining. Ideally situated in a quiet area of the garden and covered with leaves.
What’s the difference between this hedgehog house and the wooden hedgehog houses?
Essentially it’s just the material it’s made from, with this making it considerably cheaper than the wooden hedgehog house.
What time of year can I expect to find Hedgehogs living in this product?
Any time of year, with perhaps a breeding pair of hedgehogs using it in the spring, but if empty then perhaps a young hedgehog taking in the summer, or it being used for hibernation (which can be intermittent if the weather turns mild) in the winter months.
Where is the best place to put a Hedgehog house?
It’s ideally situated in a quiet and sheltered area of the garden and covered with leaves or other foliage, as this replicates the sort of more natural site a hedgehog would use.
How do I attract Hedgehogs to the house and encourage them to use it?
Putting food and water close to the entrance is the best way, with our own Hedgehog Food an ideal mix.
Do I need to occasionally clean the Hedgehog house out?
It’s not essential, though it can be done pre-breeding season and pre-hibernation. However, it is vital that you firstly check there are no hedgehogs in the house first – if there are then just leave it as is.
I need to move my Hedgehog house. How can I do this with minimal disruption to any potential Hedgehogs living inside?
You should not move the house if hedgehogs are living in it. If you attempt this then chances are the hedgehogs will stop using it. So the key thing here is to ensure that where you place the house initially is somewhere that it can remain indefinitely.
