Nicholas Watts & the Team

Nicholas has farmed at Vine House Farm since 1964. His inspiration and enthusiasm for farming and wildlife is the reason why Vine House Farm Bird Foods was born.

Quality

At Vine House Farm we only ever supply our customers with high quality bird food. However, to give ‘high quality’ some context it’s important to understand some facts about the bird food market and some of the foods sold within it.

Direct from the farm

All our bird foods and other products DO come direct from our farm. We process, clean, mix and pack virtually all the seeds and seed mixes we sell, and the few we don’t pack (which are some of the smaller packs of seed) we ensure the process stays as local to us as possible. All our suet products are UK manufactured and delivered direct to us.

Awards

Vine House Farm has won a number of awards over the years for our commitment to this industry, including the Food, Drink & Farming Business of the Year, at the South Holland Business Awards.

Our Farm Shop & Café

We sell our home-grown fruit & vegetables, including organic produce in our Farm Shop, along with a wide range of locally sourced products including our own free range eggs, dairy, meat & poultry from our Grasmere Farm butchery counter, homemade cakes & chutneys, pies and frozen foods. We have seating for 70 inside & 30 outside on the deck, overlooking the wildlife garden & pond & serve a seasonal menu with a wide range of homemade dishes, using our own & local produce.

Charity Partners

Our partnership with The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts ended on October 1st 2023. Our commitment to The Wildlife Trusts was long term and still is – Nicholas is the chairman of our local Wildlife Trust, and has been a continuous member since 1964. We shall continue to work with some of the individual Wildlife Trusts and will soon be announcing our new bird food charity partner. More information to follow…!
