Most birds have stopped singing now but the Corn Bunting will keep singing until early August. He doesn’t want another male Corn Bunting in his territory, but he would welcome a female.

The Bunting family are the only song birds that are still singing at this time of year, as most song birds have finished singing by July 1st. There is one other bird that does sing for longer: the Wood Pigeon - if you can call his cooing a song. You can hear the cooing right into September as the Wood Pigeon continues breeding into October.
