A good, strong baffle that is easy to install over the feeders. Whilst it does make life a lot more difficult for the squirrels attempting to raid the bird feeders, some squirrels have worked out how they can hang on by their feet and stretch the length of the baffle to reach the feeder, then swing on to it. But they frequently fall off in the process and give up. The baffle also has the advantage of giving some protection from the rain so food stays dryer for longer. A good purchase.

I bought two. In essence they appear well made and do the job, not many squirrels seen now. Possibly the domes are detering magpies also, but it is worrryingly mild and the raiders may get bolder when the temperature drops. One annoyance - the cardboard instructions are fixed on the inside of the domes with sticky tape. The tape leaves a sticky residue. Don't use acetone to get it off, the solvent attacks clear polystyrene. Neither alcohol or soap shift it, so there the gunge remains, to collect dirt.

I'm delighted that I can't find fault with this item, after many years of buying & using so-called 'squirrel proof' feeders from many sources (including the RSPB). None of them, except this one has worked. Why? Probably for several reasons - I suspend the baffle from a hanging basket bracket which is affixed near the top of an end pillar of a long brick wall. Without the baffle, this was easy pickings for the squirrel families around here (12 large Oaks around my property), but with the baffle in place, like an umbrella, the squirrels have tried everything - jumping onto the baffle, but obviously sliding off its curved surface (particularly effective when it's wet after rain) and now, in the sunshine, the reflection of the sun seems to deter them from even trying. This is true of the many voracious jackdaws & magpies that were regular visitors. The only downside for Vine House Farm will be the reduced frequency of my seed orders. My apologies VHF

Baffle excellent to prevent squirrel accessing the food, however, they are now jumping from the ground to reach the feeder! SO, I have fixed the feeder higher up the tree it hangs from.

We have two of these now and they really do work! Set up correctly they keep the squirrels away from the feeders and it is very amusing to watch them trying but they soon seem to understand that they can only get the scraps which means the feeders are reserved for the birds! Highly recommended.

Great, it has baffled the squirrels, at last something that work! For the first couple of days it also put the birds off feeding but gradually they realised it wasn’t going to harm them & are now feeding again as before. Recommended to a friend who has already ordered one for her garden

The advantage of the squirrel baffle, other than keeping squirrels climbing up the pole and then driving you up it, is that it can be adapted to fit a wide diameter of feeding poles. Ours is quite thick support three seperate feeding hooks but it fitted fine. The disadvantage is that it does get covered in feeder droppings so make sure you have trays for them.

Decently robust and secure on the pole below the feeder, seems to keep squirrels off well; Needs mounting 1ft/30cm below the feeder so pigeons and the like can't sit on it, which I wouldn't mind too much if they didn't break the feeders.

Grey squirrels can be a real nuisance on bird feeders, and will not only take a considerable amount of food from them but also scare birds off and damage the feeder. Our Gardman squirrel baffle for bird feeders, will stop these problems and can be used below a feeder which is mounted on a pole, or above the feeder if hanging.
The bird feeder baffle is made from durable plastic, with fittings supplied that will allow it to be fixed above a bird feeder or below it if mounted on a feeder pole or feeding station pole. If the squirrel baffle is mounted above a hanging feeder, it will also act as a rain guard. The squirrel baffle fits poles of 12mm, 22mm and 25.5mm, and is suitable for all Gardman Feeder Station kits and the Droll Yankee Feeder pole. The baffle is 40cm in diameter.
