The peanut feeder is very good except for the lid. I had to return the first one I ordered, as we could not get the lid off. I asked that when you sent me a replacement you made sure the lid would come off. Thank you. However, the lid does not click on properly. The "clasp mechanism" that they have made is completely inadequate. We have to put the lid on and then not screw it round at all - as it won't screw round. The metal that has been used to secure the lid is inadequate. I think they have used this on other of their feeders, they need to redesign their lid closure I am sure other people find it faulty. The metal is too thin and bends so that it will not click into place - and there is no chance of getting it to clasp.

I have two feeders , one for peanuts and one for fat balls -they are cetainly effective against squirrels and as we live surrounded by woods this is great . However, they also keep out our spotted woodpeckers and other large birds like jays. The fat ball feeder has an excellent and simple top lid for easy filling, but the peanut feeder has a slightly different design and I struggle sometimes to get the lid back on. Overall though, they are very good and do what it says on the tin!

Yes, this feeder has certainly "foxed" the squirrells which were stealing our peanuts very effectively. It only took a day or two for them to stop trying. And t's still accessible to small birds. Will be interested to see if woodpeckers will be able to access it, but there seem to be none around at present.

Very solid feeders. No squirrels since I started using them. I also wanted to protect the birds from cats. Other feeders birds still reach the food from sitting on the outside of the cage, but mainly they are inside very safely munching away.

robust wide feeder, the best one I have got. I wanted to make sure that birds were safe (from my cats) inside the cage and it is brilliant. I havn't seen the squirrel either since installing it. He manages to find a way to eat with the other cheap caged feeders. I will buy another one when the other cheap one breaks down.

Great to see the squirrels frustrated! you just need to make sure the lid is on tight: i did not do this the first time strongly enough to stop the squirrel forcing the lid open, but luckily i saw it do this, so I immediately went out and rectified the problem.

Once the smaller birds got used to them (which took a couple of days), they made short work of the seeds and suet pellets inside the feeders. Larger birds can no longer steal the food intended for the small birds.

Purchased mainly to deter starlings, blackbirds and jackdaws as they have their own feeders in our garden. We had cheap anti squirrel feeders but the cages are too narrow and allow bigger birds to reach through whereas these feeders are built like fortresses and completely defeat the bigger birds so our little birdy friends can feed in peace and be assured of a feed.

Easy to assemble. Only the youngest and skinniest squirrels and parakeets can reach the food; the adults try but soon give up. Pigeons can't reach in. Very popular with the other garden birds.

Works very well - good to have the sunflower heart feeder now separate from the mixed seed feeder. Popular with the goldfinches, bluetits, great tits and occasional blackcap, and a great spotted woodpecker has also visited. Squirrels can't get to the seeds and haven't tried opening the top yet. The darn parakeets do use it, but mostly only if the mixed seed feeder is empty.

It arrived very promptly and is now hanging from bird-table with fat balls in it. No squirrels or jays seen trying to feed. Awaiting to see if Great-spotted Woodpeckers will be able to reach in for food.

Providing this hangs well away from an upright the larger birds cannot access the food and so the design works well for the smaller birds.Sadly robins try to get the food but generally cannot/will not go through the mess.

It is a very well made bird feeder and squirrel proof, there seems to be a problem though, the birds won’t go in it. There has only been a very few in there, mainly goldfinches. Well we assume it is squirrel proof as we haven’t seen any trying to get in !

Small initially reluctant to enter feeders but now have regular visits from blue tits and robins.Large birds such as rooks, jackdaws and crows quickly learnt that they could not access food, like wise squirrels. So far, so good.Very pleased with product as it meets our aim of not feeding the corvid family.

Robust, well made and easy to fill. Since there are grey squirrels in this area as well as reds the last thing I wanted to do was encourage the grey vermin. After being inquisitive at first they are now ignoring it. Not so small birds, from having a lot, now with the feeder I have many, many more. I think a good investment, especially for my isolated rural home.

This product does just as it says. It’s strong, squirrel proof and the first day I put it up little finches came and used it. I’ve had tits, robin , green finches all using it. I am delighted. The rooks and starlings cannot reach the fat balls. Definitely recommend. Unfortunately the jackdaws can get the fat, I suggest you hang so it moves a lot to prevent these larger birds using it, unless you don't mind.
