FREE DeliveryThis wheat free High Energy Mix is is ideal for feeding many wild bird species during any time of year and is packed full of our home grown black sunflowers (50%) - so many birds love this seed. It also contains a generous amount of nutritious chopped peanuts - another favourite of many garden bird species, as well as red millet, white millet, canary seed, pinhead oats, kibbled maize and oilseed rape.

Orders received by 3pm Monday to Friday will be dispatched via DHL on a no signature delivery service; simply advise us where to leave your bags. We don't deliver on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Some orders less than 1kg in weight will come by Royal Mail.
Orders for Live Mealworms are sent directly from our supplier via Royal Mail. They are dispatched the same day if orders are received by 12pm Mon-Thurs; no orders are dispatched on a Friday. Please allow four working days for orders to arrive.

We now deliver to all of mainland UK with no extra delivery charge. Please note that some postcode areas that are classed as Scottish Islands and Highlands may take 2-3 working days to arrive. For deliveries outside of these areas a £10 charge will be applied. Postcode areas affected include HS, IV41 – IV49, IV51, IV55 and IV56, KA27 and KA28, KW15 to KW17, PA20, PA41 to PA49, PA60 to PA78, PH42 to PH44, ZE, Isle of Man
We are unable to deliver to the Republic of Ireland or the Channel Islands.

Like the fact it contains no wheat and is grown in UK. I feed my hens on it (instead of hen corn) and they love it.

This seed mix is almost too popular. The smaller garden birds get bullied off the feeder by magpies and parakeets. Magpies I accept but not parakeets, ruthless invaders who can half empty the feeder in one morning. This seed needs a parakeets proof feeder. Squirrels, foxes and mice also home in on this mix but they can't raid a caged feeder.

I’m not sure if there should be as many black sunflower seeds as there is in my bag. It’s seems to be all sunflower seeds. But the feeders still need filling every day.

I have had to stop putting this into my bird feeder as it was getting thrown out - especially the black sunflower seeds. I do have a lot of starlings which are messy eaters so that could be why but I don't think the problem was so bad with previous different vine house farm mixes.

I always feed the birds with high energy mix. A good mix which most birds enjoy. Some birds reject the smaller seeds which fall into a tray attached to the base of the feeder. This prevents seed falling onto the ground. Any seed spillage in the tray I save for a pigeon,so it's not wasted. Overall, I am happy with this mix throughoput the year.
