This is an attractive, very good quality and traditional style wooden bird table made from FSC certified timber. The bird table requires assembly but this is very straightforward. The height of the wooden bird feeder table is 150cm, which is ideal for both viewing and the birds that can be attracted.
Bird tables help attract species of bird such as Robin, Blackbird and Dunnock. Note that it’s vital to keep the feeding surface of a wooden bird table very clean in order to prevent the transfer of infection and disease to birds.

Excellent. Wonderfully packed. Swift delivery. Very easy to put together, carefully crafted with screw holes perfectly positioned. A wonderful experience. Great value for money. The birds adopted it straight away.
Made from FSC certified timber, this is a very good quality bird table which has been designed in a traditional and tried-and-tested style. The wooden bird table comes in flatpack form but is very easy to assemble, is 1.5 metres in height, with the roof ensuring that the food stays dry.
A wooden bird table is a great addition to any garden where birds are being fed, as it allows species of bird which can’t easily use hanging tube feeders, or use them at all, to also feed. Such species include Blackbird, Dunnock, Robin and Collared dove. An absolute vital thing to ensure if you are using a wooden bird table, is that the surface must be kept very clean to ensure there’s no risk of bacteria build-up, as this can lead to salmonella poisoning which is generally fatal for birds.
What sort of food should I put on my bird table?
It’s best to use husk-free seeds such as sunflower hearts or husk-free seed mixes. There are two main reasons for this: Firstly, garden birds which feed on bird tables are often softbill species such as Robin and Blackbird, which can’t remove the husks from seeds. Secondly, wooden bird tables are prone to becoming infected with harmful bacteria if seed husk waste builds up on them, with this then endangering the health of the birds. Suet pellets are another good food to put out on bird tables.
Does a bird table need a roof?
Ideally a bird table should have a roof, as not only does it keep the food dry but also reduces the risk of the feeding surface becoming infected with harmful bacteria in damp conditions.
What height should a bird table be?
The height of a bird table isn’t too critical, about 1.5 metres is ideal.
Where's the best place to put a bird table?
A bird table is best positioned in a fairly open area of a garden where it’s easily visible to birds and to also allow easy viewing from your home. Such an open area also means greater safety from predators such as Sparrowhawks and domestic cats, as birds are less likely to be caught off-guard by an attack.
Do bird tables attract rats?
Bird tables are less likely to attract rats compared to ground feeders, though nonetheless there is some risk. There are though a number of steps that can be taken to minimise the risk of rats being attracted more generally by bird food - have a read here.
How do you rat proof a bird table?
The best way to rat proof a bird table is to add a wide baffle around the vertical post of the table, as this will prevent rats from getting to the actual table as they’ll be unable to cling to the underside of the baffle.
