Robin and Friends Mix

Feed our Robin and Friends Mix to softbill birds, such as the Robin and Song thrush, directly on a bird table, a ground feeder, or a Robin Feeder. Not recommended if you have a dog, as the sultanas in the mix can be harmful to them.

Putting our Robin and Friends Mix straight on the ground is only recommended if using quantities that will be eaten each day. Also, as this mix contains sultanas, it can be harmful to dogs.

Our Robin and Friends Mix is designed with Robins and small soft-bill birds in mind. It contains a selection of Robins’ favourite foods, including high-energy chopped peanuts, suet pellets, sunflower hearts, sunflower chips and sultanas.

All the seeds have their husks removed, making this mix ideal for Robins to eat with their soft-bill beaks. They are also popular with other soft-bill birds like Blackbirds.

You should avoid feeding Robins anything they could choke on such as whole peanuts, and the same goes for all smaller, soft-billed birds. Some of these birds won't attempt to eat whole seeds or whole peanuts, as they cannot break them down with their beaks. However, Robins especially have been known to attempt to eat such items, especially whole peanuts, which can cause them to choke and die. If you are including whole peanuts in your bird food selection, only feed in a mesh feeder.

Yes Robins can eat sunflower seeds, but only if the husk has been removed - this then making the product Sunflower Hearts.
