  The feeder is heavy, so with the huge amount of seed it holds, you need to ensure that the pole is secure and stable. With a soft lawn and pigeons sitting on the top, the weight can make it lean and eventually topple. Seems a well-built feeder with the capacity for holiday periods.

  Simply the best I have come across - and we've bought quite a number over the years. Easy to clean and maintain and doesn't seem to let in too much of the rain that turns bird food into porridge. Just waiting for a version that has cage around it to keep the starlings and squirrels off the food.

  Brilliant feeder, within 2 minutes of putting it up the sparrows were flying all around it and, once the first brave one had landed, they were all on it. Had it up whilst we were away for a long weekend and, given the much larger capacity, it didn't run out. Simple to take apart and clean, the perches are very robust and can see them lasting far longer than the plastic tube. I wish I had bought one earlier.
