My birds LOVE them. However the last two deliveries have been frustrating as the carrier is useless!! But I will continue to buy them from VHF as they are superior to any other brand.

These are great to give variety to our garden birds who have insatiable appetites for suet fat balls so I ring the changes. The berry flavour is not the first of the fatballs to be finished off but I still intersperse them with the other flavours to give the birds a varied diet including fruit. Having said that I have just looked out of the window at the bird feeding station and there are two finches on the berry flavour and one on the mealworm fat balls!

After some hesitation, these pink suet balls seem to be as popular as their cousins, the pale yellow ones. Tits of all sorts, sparrows and starlings love them straight from the feeder, but also the winged ground feeders like blackbirds, dunnocks, the resident robin and pigeons will hover under the feeder waiting for crumbs to fall off when the starlings are at it. A nice partnership, food for every bird!

The birds love them and they don't get soggy in the rain

These are good quality fastballs which a variety of my lovely garden birds love
09/02/2024Clare Noton
Great quality that the birds seem to love. They don't instantly crumble away like other brands, so more gets eaten rather than just wasted. Really liked the whole delivery coming in a sack as well. Was instantly reused, rather than another brown box into the recycling bin.

our garden birds like the fat balls unfortunately so do the squirrels
30/01/2024Lesley Fraser
Not quite as popular with the birds as the other suets, but that means they don't go through them at a rate of knots.

My order for fat balls arrived somewhat the worse for wear. About one-third of the balls were crushed into a powder. I contacted Vine House Farm who said it could have been due to the extreme temperatures at the time. They immediately sent replacement fat balls foc. I have used this company for over 10 years and have found them to be excellent. Their products are always good quality and delivered promptly.

Vine House Farm are brilliant and they tick all the boxes, they support wildlife, farm in a sustainable way and provide wildlife food at a reasonable price quickly and efficiently. I wouldn't buy my bird food anywhere else.

I cannot keep up with birds' demand for these!! Even tiny coal tits love them as do starlings unfortunately despite it being difficult for them to access the feeder.
21/06/2023Lou Weekes
Excellent and very popular.

Exactly as described very quick delivery

Loved by blue tits, great tits, long-tailed tits, dunnocks, robins, black-birds leap to get to the feeder or take crumps, and this morning a speckled wood-pecker.
26/05/2023Sarah Brady
Have bought these on multiple occasions as they are popular with a wide variety of birds from parakeets to woodpeckers. Would recommend - my only issue with all vine house products is the method of delivery which is quick but without care- products often left without ringing or by gate rather than in porch - needs to improve

All my feathered visitors seem to prefer these fat balls to all other items on the menu. Though I'm guessing it depends on the time of year and their activities. They are also loved by furry nibblers who I'm doing battle with over their greed (aka squirrels). I am winning as I'm learning and finding solutions re the latter. In general, the seeds, fat balls, peanuts and mealworms from Vine House Farm are all loved by those that should love them. I think I've found my best source.
11/05/2023Nigel Gray
Used Vine House Farm for years as their products are always good and free delivery is always on time.

Obviously I’m not eating these myself but judging from how quickly they are disappearing from the feeder I reckon the birds really like them…..good stuff!

The birds are happy with them
20/01/2023Mr simon Wright
Ok but seem harder in cold weather than standard super suet balls. The birds are struggling!

A firm favourite with garden birds and a valuable source of energy for a wide range of species, especially during the winter months. Now available in a new flavour - still made up of suet, peanut & wheat flour, now with the addition of blackcurrants. Beware of cheap suet balls as they can be mixed with sand, grit or sweepings to bulk them out.
