Description

The Nuttery Caged Suet Block and Fat Ball Feeder allows small birds to get to the food but keeps larger birds out. The feeder will hold up to six fat balls, and including our Super Suet Fat Balls, or a single suet block.

Small birds such as Blue tits, Great tits and Robins will easily be able to enter though the cage of the Nuttery heavy duty suet block feeder to get to the nutritious product inside, but larger birds such as Starlings and Jackdaws will not be able to.

The Nuttery caged suet ball feeder will also stop Grey squirrels from getting to the food, plus the heavy gauge of the tough metal cage will prevent them from damaging it.

Suet is arguably one of the best foods for a range of different garden birds, and especially different species of tit. Being high in fat and therefore providing energy which is also important to keep birds warm in the winter months, suet balls and suet blocks - also called fat balls and fat blocks - should be an addition to all garden bird feeding stations.
However, the benefits suet products provide to birds makes them equally attractive to larger species, some of which might be less welcome in gardens - for example Jackdaws, Rooks and Magpies. And even if you are happy to attract such species to your garden, you probably won’t want them to dominate feeders and therefore deter smaller birds from also feeding. Either way, the Nuttery Caged Suet Block and Fat Ball Feeder is a great solution, as only smaller birds will be able to access the fat balls or fat block.
Although Grey squirrels are less attracted to suet compared to peanuts and seed, none the less they will often try to eat it. Again, this caged suet ball and fat ball feeder will prevent squirrels from getting to the food.
