  This bird feeder is very sturdy and certainly does the job of deterring squirrels. Nice colour which blends in perfectly with the garden. Would buy from this company again as ordering was a quick and easy process and delivery was very prompt. Excellent!

  The two Nuttery Original Compact Bird Seed Feeders were bought to replace bird feeders that the pesky and very flexible squirrel had broken. So far the new feeders have prevented the squirrel from getting at the bird food. The small birds that use the feeders were not phased by the replacements and have been happily feeding on them. The Nuttery Original Compact Bird Seed Feeder is well-built, easy to fill and also clean. Very happy with this purchase, along with the easy online purchase and swift delivery of them from Vine House Farm.

  I bought this after reading other reviews. My problem was the starlings hanging on to the bird feeders and spilling a great amount on the ground. This feeder has solved that problem, the starlings try but soon give up and the sparrows took to it quickly. It is well made and the only downside is the size of the seed container which needs frequent refilling.

  I have never had so many birds in the garden since I started using this seed. Fortunately the jackdaws seem to have moved on. Welcome back all the small birds. I’m hoping the word will get out to some other species too.

  I bought two feeders. They are good quality, and the small birds took to ithem immediately! So far squirrels have given up on them which was the main reason for the purchases, as they had conquered the old, supposedly squirrel-proof feeders!

  Good quality feeder, nice to handle and easy to use. Compact, just two feeding ports so needs refilling often. So far only the small birds have used it except for the parakeets, which can get to the feed.

  So far the squirrels haven't got at the seeds inside, they have been trying to lift off the lid but the fitting to hang the feeder from has prevented this.

  A really robust and well designed feeder for small birds. Much as I love the Starlings, they were raking through, tossing out and wasting most of the seed in my regular hanging feeders. Being able to completely dismantle it for cleaning is an extremely important aspect. I was so impressed with this feeder I bought a second one and intend to buy 2 more for the winter months. The ingenious design of the filler lid and hanging handles has also foiled my clever Corvids who had worked out how to flip open the lids on my previous hanging feeders and, by rocking and swinging on them, were able to empty the contents onto the ground. This was highly amusing of course but caused me a great deal of work, cleaning up daily to deter a rodent infestation. I highly recommend this excellent feeder.

  Our birds didn't appreciate the excellent build quality of the Buttery feeder for quite a few days. That's not unusual they are always like that with anything that's new. But now their approval has been given and all is well. Can't recommend Vine House Farm's quality and customer friendliness enough - just wish more were like them.

  A lovely feeder, robust and easy to clean and fill. Although on the smallish size I find it useful to have in certain areas where a larger feeder would not fit. I have found it best to have several different size feeders, to attract a variety of birds. They certainly seem to have their preferences!
