Sunflower Heart Chips

Black Sunflower Seeds come in their raw, unaltered form -- complete with a black husk that encases the heart. Not all garden birds can remove the husk easily, and those that can often leave the empty shell behind during the feeding process. This is where Sunflower Hearts come in.

The heart is the husk-free centre of the sunflower seed; the part that provides the nutrition. Sunflower Hearts are an alternative to Black Sunflower Seeds; including them in your bird food selection allows more birds to eat them and also eliminates most waste (in the form of the discarded husk).

Sunflower Heart Chips are the broken-down versions of Sunflower Hearts, which helps smaller birds such as Dunnocks and Robins to feed on them even more easily.
